Horse tracing register to improve biosecurity

The Victorian and Queensland Governments are leading the development of a horse traceability register to improve biosecurity and tracking measures across the country.


The group will analyse existing systems and technologies, then put forward recommendations to form a national register to protect the health and welfare of the animals.


Rural reporter Sophie Clarke caught up with the project's Chairman, Stuart McLean ahead of the group's first meeting later this month:
